As a psychotherapist with over 20+ years in the wellness and mental health care industry I know that therapy is unsustainable and inaccessible for most people. We need to be looking for other tools to deal with the current mental health care crisis and breathing is the #1 untapped wellness resource that exists right in your own body.

Anxiety & stress are encoded as patterns in your nervous system that are repeated unconsciously. Once they are learned, they become automatic.
Feeling stress begins with your breath.
For example, when you breathe short and shallow you tell your body that there is not enough oxygen and create a panic situation. When you keep breathing like this, you reinforce this message.
Learning how to breathe slowly and deeply brings more oxygen to your brain and makes you feel calm. Doing so while experiencing stress rewires your body and brain to manage stress in a different way.
In other words:
You can breathe through anything and remain calm while doing so. With regular practice, this can become your new rhythm.
